Design and simulate RF circuits, matching networks, and magnetics up to 20kW operating from 400kHz to 2.45GHz for semiconductor equipment.
About the role
The Senior Engineer I, Radio Frequency Engineer is responsible for the design and development of RF circuits for semiconductor equipment. The position works alongside electrical, mechanical, and embedded engineers in an office and lab environment.
What you'll do
- Design RF matching networks, amplifiers, splitters, combiners, couplers, and sensors operating from 400kHz to 2.45GHz. - Design magnetics and micro-strip circuits for RF applications. - Perform requirements capture, analysis, analog circuit design, debugging, integration, and verification. - Collaborate with electrical and mechanical designers to develop and execute project plans and technical requirements. - Safely operate and test high power RF circuitry up to 20kW in a lab environment using RF test equipment.
What you'll need
- Minimum 10 years of experience in RF circuit design and simulation across 400kHz to 2.45GHz (experience requirement may be relaxed for candidates with a Ph.D.). - Experience with low and high power design up to 20kW. - Electrical circuit simulation experience using ADS, OrCAD PSpice, or similar software. - Electromagnetic simulation experience using Ansys or similar software. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot analog, digital, and mixed signals at the hardware level. - Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering preferred).
Nice to have
- Semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry experience. - Experience with RF generator design. - Experience with semiconductor match design. - Proven track record bringing products from concept to production. - Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
Skills: RF generator, match design, high power RF, ADS, PSpice, 400kHz
