About the role
MACOM is seeking an entry-level RF Design Engineer at its design center in San Diego, CA. The role is responsible for developing RF circuits for Integrated Microwave Assemblies and supporting projects from conceptual to production release phases.
What you'll do
- Develop schematic circuit simulations and EM simulations. - Design test circuits for evaluation and production testing. - Generate CAD and PCB layouts and assembly drawings. - Characterize and model RF, digital, and analog circuits. - Work with lab equipment to test RF, digital, and analog circuits. - Cooperate with packaging assembly and product engineering teams to ensure compliance with manufacturing design rules and support production release.
What you'll need
- BSEE degree. - Familiarity with RF/microwave design theory and techniques. - Familiarity with electrical simulation tools such as MWO or ADS. - Familiarity with EM simulation tools such as HFSS. - Familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD layout drawing tools. - Familiarity with PCB tools such as Altium. - Familiarity with using RF test equipment and measurement equipment.
