About the role
As a Senior Electron Optics Engineer, you will design, develop, test, analyze, troubleshoot, and implement electron optics modules and subsystems for electron beam inspection systems. The role covers concept design through to final release and transfer to high-volume manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Design electron optics modules and subsystems for e-beam inspection tools according to system specifications from concept to high-volume manufacturing release.
- Author system-level and module-level design documentation covering specifications, design principles, interfaces, and details per design processes.
- Perform simulations and calculations for electron optics module design, including thermal, vacuum, high voltage, dynamics, and mechanical FEM analysis.
- Lead design reviews, error budget development, risk assessment and mitigation, and experimental verification and validation processes.
- Collaborate with vendors and consultants to develop, analyze, and fabricate components, resolving issues during fabrication.
- Support electron optics system and subsystem integration, testing, troubleshooting, and manufacturing transfer documentation.
What you'll need
- Experience in mechanical and electron optics design engineering for electron beam systems.
- Demonstrated experience conducting simulations including thermal, vacuum, high voltage, dynamics, and mechanical FEM analysis.
- Proven track record leading design reviews, error budget development, and verification and validation processes.
- Experience managing component fabrication with vendors, troubleshooting fabrication issues, and transferring designs to mass production.
