Engineering Lab Technician

About the role
The Engineering Lab Technician tests, calibrates, and troubleshoots circuits and instruments while supporting Test and Product Engineers with setup, instrumentation, and data logging. Work centers on RF and microwave products operating from DC to 50 GHz, including driver amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, and high power amplifiers.
What you'll do
- Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits and instruments, identifying corrective maintenance when needed.
- Support Test and Product Engineers with instrumentation, test setups, data collection, and event logging.
- Evaluate products and troubleshoot issues observed during testing or inspections.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends to prepare technical reports.
- Create or update documentation, including work instructions and material lists.
- Train, mentor, and guide junior technicians on test procedures and calibration techniques.
What you'll need
- 3 years of test and measurement experience (or an Associate's degree in Electronics).
- Hands-on experience operating radio frequency test equipment such as network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
- Background working with RF and microwave products operating from DC to 50 GHz, including driver amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, and high power amplifiers.
- Experience operating both manual and automated test equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot product issues and test results.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Nice to have
- Associate’s degree in Electronics.
