About the role
PsiQuantum is looking for a CAD Engineer to join the Electronic-IC Team, focusing on design automation, environment development, and user support. The role involves writing code to automate custom design processes and maintaining infrastructure for custom schematic and mask designers.
What you'll do
- Maintain and support design databases, data integrity, and version control systems such as IC Manage, Cliosoft, or similar platforms. - Install, configure, and support foundry PDKs, developing infrastructure to support design work in new process technologies. - Develop automation workflows using Perl, Python, and Cadence SKILL. - Own and maintain the custom design environment used by custom schematic and mask designers. - Support and maintain CAD tools and flows, including Virtuoso ADE, ADS, HSPICE, and Verilog / System Verilog flows. - Maintain and improve the cloud-based design environment, compute infrastructure, and user workflows while collaborating with CAD tool vendors.
What you'll need
- B.S. (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience. - Understanding of MOSFET device behavior, CMOS layout, and VLSI design. - Practical experience with Perl, Cadence SKILL, and Python. - Experience with version control and design data management systems. - Experience supporting and maintaining CAD simulation tools including Virtuoso ADE, ADS, and HSPICE.
