$216,775 - $390,195 USD yearly
Lead global development of multi-rail PMICs, buck converters, and PMBus POL products built on onsemi BCD process platforms.
About the role
onsemi is hiring a Senior Director to lead PMIC (Power Management IC) and POL (Point-of-Load) product development across a global team of analog, mixed-signal, digital, and layout engineers. The role spans technical direction and execution for products targeting data center/AI compute and consumer markets using onsemi BCD and other process platforms.
What you'll do
- Set and carry out the technical roadmap for PMIC and POL products, including multi-rail PMICs, buck, boost, buck-boost, LDOs, and digitally controlled/PMBus POL converters.
- Own the full development cycle from concept, architecture, design, layout, verification, tape-out, silicon bring-up, characterization, qualification, to release to manufacturing.
- Work with Process Technology to make the best use of onsemi BCD and other process platforms for power management products.
- Set up and enforce design methodology, design reviews, verification rigor including mixed-signal/AMS, and documentation standards.
- Lead, grow, and develop a multi-site engineering organization across Hudson, Rhode Island, San Jose, and Bangalore.
- Act as a senior technical leader with key customers to support design-wins, technical reviews, and strategic engagements.
What you'll need
- BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field (MS or PhD strongly preferred).
- 18+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC development, with a strong focus on power management (PMIC, DC-DC converters, POL).
- 8+ years managing engineering managers and large, multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Proven track record of taking several power management products to high-volume production.
- Experience leading teams spread across geographies and time zones, including India design centers.
- Deep knowledge of switching regulator architectures and control loops (voltage/current mode, COT, multiphase).
- Deep knowledge of linear regulators, references, bias, protection circuits, and power sequencing.
- Deep knowledge of power device integration, gate drivers, and BCD process technologies.
- Deep knowledge of mixed-signal design flows, verification methodology, and silicon validation.
