About the role
This Senior Development Engineer role involves the development, integration, and testing of systems and components for semiconductor metrology equipment.
What you'll do
- Integrate, test, and characterize systems and components for new system development.
- Combine hardware and optical subsystems with software for product delivery.
- Design and conduct experiments to characterize, troubleshoot, and improve metrology performance.
- Develop plans of action and execute them in a timely manner.
- Generate internal and external technical presentations.
- Provide field support at customer sites within and outside the US.
What you'll need
- Masters in Engineering or equivalent experience in Sciences with a focus on Engineering, Physics or Optics.
- >5 years experience in a semiconductor capital equipment engineering role, preferably metrology.
- Experience in applications development using optical metrology techniques.
- Hands-on experience in the integration of precision optical and optomechanical components.
- Proficiency in data analysis using programming/scripting tools (Python, Matlab).
- Excellent analytical capability for systematic troubleshooting.
- Experience working on prototype systems in a hands-on laboratory setting.
- Experience with new product development and support in the semiconductor space.
