About the role
This Senior/Cost Accountant role involves managing inventory, manufacturing costs, product profitability, and cost accounting processes, while also supporting financial planning and analysis activities.
What you'll do
- Manage periodic cost accounting close, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Support inventory standard cost calculation, cost simulation, and annual cost roll.
- Drive inventory management, including quarterly E&O review, annual physical counts, and daily cycle counts.
- Analyze cost variances, product margin, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare weekly sales and gross margin analysis, inventory reports, manufacturing cost analysis, and work order variance dashboards.
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.
What you'll need
- Recognized degree, ACCA graduate, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Strong cost accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, other data analysis tools, and ERP systems (Oracle).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
