This role focuses on the EUV light source system and related control/optimization/calibration subsystems.
About the role
This role involves the development and engineering of metrology, automation, and control loops for the EUV light source system. This includes working on sophisticated control algorithms, real-time embedded software, and high-speed electronics for stable EUV light production.
What you'll do
- Serve as a technical expert for control/optimization/calibration subsystems.
- Perform feasibility studies and support product roadmap development.
- Coordinate or execute testing processes and design verification in lab test benches and cleanroom environments.
- Define, plan, manage, and coordinate assigned projects.
- Lead and mentor junior controls engineers in developing innovative control system solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement complex algorithms involving controller design, optimization, system identification, signal processing, and stochastic signal analysis.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Controls, Mechanical, Computer, Chemical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering or Physics.
- 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience designing and implementing practical feedback control or optimization systems.
- Knowledge of modern control theory, optimization, stochastics, and some nonlinear control theory.
- Excellent knowledge of and experience with Matlab and Simulink.
- Ability to translate, statistically analyze large amounts of data, and report effectively.
Nice to have

How we counted: 3771 open Semiconductor Equipment Engineering (Manufacturing Equipment) roles from 83 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 13 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
