About the role
Entegris is seeking a Senior Chemist, Technical Laboratory Operations to join the Analytics & Metrology, Wet Lab team, responsible for ensuring reliable, high-throughput analytical metrology in a production laboratory supporting semiconductor-grade precursors and wet chemical cleans. This role focuses on measurement execution, data quality, contamination control, and instrument performance to ensure materials consistently meet semiconductor specifications.
What you'll do
- Execute and oversee routine analysis of semiconductor chemicals (metals, anions, organics, particles) using established methods, reviewing and approving results for specification conformance. - Maintain measurement system capability (precision, accuracy, repeatability) using statistical tools such as SPC, control charts, and trending to investigate out-of-control conditions, excursions, and anomalous data. - Serve as the technical expert for production instrumentation including IC, HPLC, GC, Raman, FTIR, and XRF, performing advanced troubleshooting to support uptime, sensitivity, and stability. - Ensure proper calibration, system suitability, instrument qualification, performance verification, and preventive maintenance documentation. - Maintain compliance with customer specifications, ISO 17025 (where applicable), SEMI standards, internal quality systems, and data integrity principles while authoring SOPs and test methods. - Lead analytical investigations supporting production excursions, out-of-spec (OOS) results, and customer complaints in collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field. - 7+ years of analytical laboratory experience, including significant time in a production or QC environment. - Expertise in chromatographic techniques (e.g., IC, LC, GC) and molecular spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman, NIR). - Experience working with high-purity or semiconductor-grade chemicals. - Demonstrated experience supporting routine, high-throughput laboratory operations.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field. - Experience in semiconductor materials supply (precursors, acids, solvents, cleans). - Experience with SPC, trending tools, and production data systems (e.g., LIMS).

How we counted: 3837 open Semiconductor Equipment Engineering (Manufacturing Equipment) roles from 81 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 20 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
