About the role

The Senior Applications Engineering Manager leads a team responsible for customer success, product execution, and business growth for power uModule products. This role aligns customer needs, product strategy, and engineering execution across industrial, datacenter, aerospace, and related markets.

What you'll do

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of applications engineers supporting power uModule products, including resource planning, hiring, and performance management. - Set team priorities and drive application engineering strategy across product definition, validation, documentation, evaluation platforms, and commercialization. - Partner with product line management, design engineering, product engineering, marketing, sales, and FAEs to translate market requirements into product specifications. - Support strategic customer engagements and resolve complex technical escalations involving power attach, converter performance, and failure analysis. - Guide new product investigations and release readiness for power module products and system-level solutions. - Direct the development of technical collateral, including reference designs, design tools, application notes, customer presentations, and tradeshow demonstrations.

What you'll need

- MSEE in power electronics or a related engineering discipline (or PhD). - 10+ years of relevant experience in power electronics, power management, applications engineering, product engineering, or related technical leadership roles. - Demonstrated experience leading, managing, or mentoring technical teams, with a track record of driving execution in a manager role. - Deep hands-on expertise in designing, building, testing, and optimizing switching-mode power supplies, especially DC-DC converters. - Strong understanding of analog circuits, power converter topologies, control loop design, compensation, static and dynamic performance optimization, EMI, thermal design, and system-level power architecture. - Proven experience supporting key customers throughout the product lifecycle, from early architecture discussions through qualification, production release, and sustaining support. - Experience with design, simulation, and analysis tools.

Nice to have

- Experience leading cross-functional programs involving product definition, new product development, customer adoption, and revenue growth. - Strong knowledge of power module technologies, multiphase buck converters, high-current POL solutions, 48 V or higher-voltage architectures, isolated power, low-noise or low-EMI design, and high-power-density systems. - Direct experience with schematic design, PCB layout, prototyping, bench validation, failure analysis, and customer board-level troubleshooting. - Familiarity with analog IC design, advanced packaging, magnetics, thermal modeling, parasitic extraction, and reliability considerations for power module products. - Experience with digital power interfaces and communication protocols such as I2C and PMBus. - Recognized technical leadership through patents, publications, conference presentations, or industry participation.
