About the role
The Field Application Engineer in SLT (System Level Testing) develops, debugs, and deploys test solutions for Digital, High-Speed Digital, System on Chip, Mixed Signal, and Analog semiconductor devices.
What you'll do
- Develop, debug, and deploy test solutions on SLT platforms to optimize customer throughput. - Formulate conceptual designs for hardware, software, and test cell integration, including electrical and mechanical schematics and interface PCB requirements. - Develop test program software collaboratively and demonstrate tester capability during customer evaluations. - Analyze problems and make recommendations to improve test coverage quality and test processes. - Deliver technical exchanges, training, and technical papers while cultivating customer technical relationships.
What you'll need
- Bachelor or higher degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering or related fields. - 5-8 years of experience in the semiconductor testing industry with hands-on experience in IC component testing project development. - Hands-on experience in SLT, functional testing, and debug at the system level. - Development experience on Teradyne or other semiconductor SLT platforms. - Strong understanding of software programming (such as .NET – C#, VB, and/or C++, C, Java) and common algorithms. - Ability to travel 25% or more domestically and internationally, with auto liability or minimum insurance.
Nice to have
- ATE (Automated Test Equipment) Test / Product engineering experience in Digital, High-Speed Digital, High-Power Computing, System on Chip, Mixed Signal, or Analog IC chip testing. - Development experience on semiconductor ATE platforms such as Teradyne UltraFlex / UltraFlexPlus / IG-XL, Eagle Test Systems / EV / EV-MST, or Advantest V93K / SmarTest 7 / SmarTest 8. - Knowledge and experience with handler and prober interfaces. - General understanding of SLT industry trends, competitive products, and product positioning. - Supervisory experience leading local and global teams with past employee management experience.
