About the role

Skyworks is seeking an Analog Power Design Engineer to design and validate analog power management ICs within the Power Management division. The role focuses on solutions for Power Loss Protection, PMICs, Motor Control, and Battery Management across mobile, consumer, IoT, and industrial applications.

What you'll do

  • Lead design and development of analog power management ICs, optimizing efficiency, power density, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with system engineers to define product architecture and specifications, balancing performance, power, and cost.
  • Select and implement circuit topologies to ensure robustness, yield, and manufacturability.
  • Conduct transistor-level design, simulation, and validation to meet functional and performance targets.
  • Partner with layout engineers to optimize floor planning, parasitics, and overall silicon performance.
  • Work with test and characterization teams to establish validation methodologies, resolve design issues, and optimize production test strategies.

What you'll need

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or higher).
  • 3+ years of semiconductor industry experience in analog and/or mixed-signal integrated circuit (IC) design (or equivalent education and experience).
  • Hands-on experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and flows, including EMIR tools, capacitive coupling tools, parasitic extraction tools, and floating node analysis.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Simplis, and ADS.
  • Hands-on lab experience supporting high frequency switching power supplies in the semiconductor power management industry.
  • Experience with production release of power management ICs.
