About the role
This is a minimum 6-month internship focused on process development for architecture and heterogeneous integration of compound semiconductor ICs. Work centers on fabrication and Die Fab processes including dry etch, PECVD, automated wet etch, electroplating, lithography, and metal deposition.
What you'll do
- Support process development for the architecture and heterogeneous integration of Keysight compound semiconductor ICs. - Execute fabrication and Die Fab unit processes across dry etch, PECVD, automated wet etch, electroplating, lithography, and metal deposition. - Apply coursework and research principles to evaluate and optimize process development efforts. - Collaborate across engineering groups to meet product development schedules and manufacturing expectations.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled graduate student pursuing an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or Physics, enrolled in an accredited college/university as of September 2027. - Experience with advanced semiconductor processes and devices. - Ability to commit to a minimum 6-month internship duration.
Nice to have
- Specific skills in III-V semiconductor processing. - Hands-on lab experience in semiconductor lithography, deposition, etch, plasma processing, electroplating, wafer thinning, dicing, and sort. - Experience with statistical process control and design of experiments.
