About the role
As Section Manager, Site MPE, you will provide operational leadership and technical mentorship to an engineering and technician team managing daily lab operations. You will translate complex product validation requirements into actionable laboratory execution across sensing and power solutions.
What you'll do
- Manage daily lab operations for the test and validation group, setting operational priorities for device characterization, electrical validation, and test plan execution.
- Lead the full employee lifecycle for direct reports (engineers and technicians), including recruitment, onboarding, goal setting, performance appraisals, technical coaching, and professional development.
- Enforce laboratory best practices, data collection protocols, and standardized test methodologies to deliver accurate and actionable feedback to IC design and product teams.
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex test anomalies, bench instrumentation faults, or setup failures, providing hands-on troubleshooting guidance.
- Coordinate bench resources, equipment availability, and workload scheduling to align with project milestones and customer delivery commitments.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of progressive senior supervisory experience leading technical teams, or an advanced degree with 1+ years of leadership experience.
- Solid working understanding of semiconductor validation flows, bench test methodologies, characterization instrumentation, and laboratory management.
- Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and technically coach a team of engineering and technician professionals.
- Strong organizational, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills to collaborate with design, product, and quality engineering teams.
