About the role
This role is responsible for leading new product development projects across development, qualification, and release, as well as managing the new product package technology roadmap for an onsemi business unit.
What you'll do
- Define development program requirements with stakeholders and manage parallel programs across new product development, transfers, IP development, and cost savings. - Lead development efforts for the new product package technology roadmap. - Lead cross-functional teams to ensure development projects complete on schedule and within budget parameters. - Create project plans with measurable objectives, schedules, risk mitigation, and budgets aligned with the business case. - Resolve technical roadblocks during project development by consulting technical experts and aligning resources. - Track, document, and report program performance against project plans, proactively mitigating risks and communicating status to stakeholders and senior management.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science (electrical or electronics preferred). - 5+ years of semiconductor experience across new product introduction, cost savings, transfers, manufacturing flow, specification, application, cost, quality, and execution management. - 5+ years of project management experience or roles with a strong project management component. - 3+ years of packaging development or package manufacturing engineering experience. - Proficiency in MS Excel, Excel Macro, PowerPoint, 8D, RCCAs, and Lessons learned. - Expert knowledge of packaging technologies for discrete and analog product lines and Waterfall program management methodologies.
Nice to have
- PMP certification.
