About the role
Qualcomm Security Engineers perform security assessments, develop company products, and collaborate across functions to ensure performance metrics and product requirements are met.
What you'll do
- Develop new hardware and software security features and integrate feature updates into existing products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Perform security assessments and evaluations of company products, including vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, threat analysis, and security code reviews.
- Identify design and implementation vulnerabilities and determine remediation plans for security risks.
- Respond to product security incidents and assist customers regarding product security-related issues.
- Develop and deploy trainings and tools supporting secure product development.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Security Engineering or related work experience (or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD).
- Experience performing security assessments, vulnerability evaluations, or threat analysis.
- Experience developing hardware or software security features.
Nice to have
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3 years of Security Engineering experience or related work experience.
- 2 years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or SystemVerilog.
