About the role
This role involves overseeing the lifecycle of semiconductor products from development and validation to production ramp-up and field performance monitoring. You will work on the development, build, and optimization of DCDC converters for automotive, industrial, and personal electronics solutions.
What you'll do
- Drive new product development (NPI) with focus on package definition, assembly/manufacturing, and reliability qualification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new project definition and planning based on customer needs.
- Set up and qualify products within Texas Instruments' manufacturing processes and flows.
- Drive reliability testing to ensure products meet lifetime requirements and investigate root causes of assembly and qualification issues.
- Cooperate with manufacturing sites and product development functions (silicon design, test, packaging, quality) to deliver complete products.
- Optimize IC aspects beyond silicon circuit, balancing cost and quality for mass production.
What you'll need
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Technology, Material Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Knowledge or high interest in semiconductor fabrication processes, manufacturing flows, and reliability testing.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, materials science, and basic electronic circuits.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong team player able to collaborate with people from different functional areas.
Nice to have
- German language skills.
- Understanding of IC packaging and failure analysis techniques.
- Basic experience with Python development and Claude Code.
- Experience in Ansys, Cadence, or similar modeling/simulation software tools.
- Ability to quickly ramp on new processes.
- Strong time management skills.
- High motivation for continuous learning.
