This role focuses on product development for fiber optic line card, module, and component products.

About the role

This role involves participating in the NPI process and supporting the development and transfer of manufacturing processes for new products.

What you'll do

Participate in the NPI process, providing manufacturing input for product and process readiness.
Support Bill of Materials (BOM) management and ensure timely availability of custom parts.
Coordinate with engineering teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products.
Troubleshoot product, process, and yield issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
Drive yield improvement and process stabilization during NPI and ramp-up by analyzing production data.
Monitor manufacturing performance during NPI and ramp-up to drive improvements and achieve production readiness.

B.Sc. or higher in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
Experience in product development, NPI, manufacturing process development, product transfer, or production engineering.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with familiarity with statistical analysis, process capability and process control.
Knowledge of DFM, PFMEA, process validation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Knowledge of assembly processes, test methods, equipment capabilities, reliability, and/or fundamental material properties, including mechanical behavior.
Experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers.
Experience in telecommunications or optical products such as fiber optic line card, module and/or component.
