About the role
Responsible for maintaining and driving reliability improvements of eBeam demo lab Scanning Electron Microscope systems by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and debugging optical, electrical, and mechanical equipment alongside software solutions.
What you'll do
- Maintain and improve the reliability of eBeam demo lab systems, supporting system and application characterization across semiconductor wafer inspection, review, and metrology products. - Diagnose and debug hardware and subsystems, including wafer handlers, electron beam columns, electron detectors, optical microscopes, EDX units, vacuum robots, vacuum pumps, vacuum chambers, RGA equipment, and high-precision XYZ stages. - Design test plans, collect operational data, conduct performance analyses, and publish technical findings and recommendations. - Collaborate with engineering functional teams and technical experts to establish Plan-of-Actions (POAs) and drive issue resolution. - Develop system calibrations, monitoring parameters, and preventative maintenance schedules for lab systems and Alpha/Beta integrations. - Generate troubleshooting documentation, service procedures, and postmortem reports.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. - Hands-on experience operating equipment utilizing vacuum technology. - Experience handling equipment such as Scanning/Transmission Electron Microscopy, X-Ray material characterization (XRD/EDX), optical microscopy, scatterometry, molecular beam epitaxy, or spectrometry equipment. - Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot optical, electrical, and mechanical equipment and integrated software solutions.
