About the role
This role delivers test software and ATE solutions that enable high-volume manufacturing of AMD microprocessors. You will architect test strategies, bring up and debug ATE content, convert patterns, and perform silicon characterization and analysis.
What you'll do
- Develop, debug, and release ATE test software, diagnostics, timing, and pattern content for high-volume manufacturing. - Perform silicon characterization, data analysis, and structured root-cause debug across hardware, software, and device interactions. - Influence technical decisions impacting product quality, yield, and manufacturability to reduce cost and resolve quality issues. - Lead projects to drive improvements in test methodologies, tools, and workflows. - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to correlate results across lab, manufacturing, and customer environments. - Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. - Hands-on debug experience across hardware, software, device, or manufacturing domains. - Experience with ATE test platforms, pattern generation, or conversion workflows. - Work authorization without visa sponsorship requirements.
Nice to have
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, Perl, C++, or Java. - Experience developing tests, vectors/patterns, diagnostics, and timing for ATE platforms. - Familiarity with JTAG IEEE 1149.1 and hardware description languages. - Background releasing test programs to high-volume manufacturing. - Familiarity with revision control tools (GIT, SVN, CVS, RCS) and Linux/UNIX environments. - Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or similar development methodologies.
