About the role
MACOM is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to support wet etch operations at our Lowell, MA facility. The role focuses on chemical qualifications, tool start-up, process transfers, and daily etch area sustaining.
What you'll do
- Perform chemical qualifications of end-of-life chemistries and qualify secondary vendors during supply disruptions. - Support the start-up of new tools, including establishing baselines, process development and optimization, and production implementation. - Execute process transfers from older tools to new platforms. - Maintain daily sustaining activities in the etch area to meet factory operational indicators. - Develop training, documentation, and process monitoring routines after project release. - Support continuous improvement projects targeting quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability, and safety.
What you'll need
- Working knowledge of wet etch semiconductor manufacturing principles. - Experience or academic training in chemical qualification and process development. - Ability to document operating procedures and implement process monitoring controls.
