About the role

As a Principal Server Software Integration Engineer at Qualcomm, you will take on a lead technical role within the product software team responsible for end-to-end integration of a high-performance software stack and transition to production for server products. Technical focus includes server reference platforms based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon SoC for data center applications.

What you'll do

- Drive server reference platform SW/FW requirements traceability across contributing cross-functional teams including SoC, software, firmware, and SW/FW Verification Engineering. - Contribute to firmware architecture and design with a focus on integration and Design For Test (DFT). - Coordinate cross-functional deliverables across different releases of the reference platform. - Collaborate with SW Verification Engineering teams to validate reference platform requirements at the component, integration, functional, and system levels. - Work with product and program management (PDM & PGM) to understand customer platform adoption challenges and address them in reference platform releases.

What you'll need

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering experience (or Master's degree with 7+ years, or PhD with 6+ years). - 4+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.

Nice to have

- Minimum 15 years of experience in an embedded software integration role, with at least 5 years focused on datacenter solutions. - Experience with SW/FW integration at BIOS/UEFI, BMC firmware, and Operating System levels for x86, ARM64, or RISC-V 64bit server platforms. - Experience reducing integration challenges via process refinements, tools integration, and Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD). - Proven knowledge of Linux datacenter distributions, Python, and C/C++, along with upstream open-source codebases and licenses. - Exposure to C/C++ toolchains such as GCC, LLVM, or ARM-compatible toolchains, plus experience with software build, deployment, and test failures in embedded systems. - Scripting and automation experience with Shell/Bash, Python, or PowerShell, and building tools for firmware packaging (stitching, signing, binary object dumps, binary formats). - Experience building and integrating firmware using Linux VMs, runners, Docker containers, and CI pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
