Focus on pre-silicon readiness and post-silicon bring-up for 2.5D/3DIC technologies and sub-3nm nodes at Arm.
About the role
As a Principal Product Engineer, you will guide the manufacturability of designs across foundry and assembly operations while owning the manufacturing flow at system level test (SLT). This role focuses on pre-silicon readiness through post-silicon bring-up for 2.5D/3DIC technologies and sub-3nm nodes.
What you'll do
- Own technical pre/post silicon operations across product engineering, aligning cross-functionally with design, packaging, software, silicon validation, test, and quality teams. - Manage the post-silicon manufacturing test flow, yield improvement, system level qualification, failure debug, and SoC testing at SLT. - Collaborate with partners to improve yield and characterization methodologies using integrated sensor frameworks and yield mitigation strategies. - Drive correlation and validation of VF margins used for SLT testing, correlating functional failures to ATE and executing shift-left strategies. - Work with line-of-business and architecture teams to translate product requirements into manufacturable solutions across power, performance, and cost targets.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with a CPU, SoC, or GPU silicon bring-up and product engineering background. - Minimum 10 years of experience in system level product engineering, including manufacturing test, yield improvement, silicon characterization, and system level reliability qualification. - Expertise in bare metal testing and functional testing concepts for SoC testing across compute subsystems and high speed PHYs (UCIe, PCIe, DDR), along with software diagnostics frameworks. - Deep understanding of device physics, digital/mixed-signal design, foundry and assembly processes, and CPU/GPU/SoC power and performance dependencies. - Proficiency in IC data tools such as Silicon.da or Optimal+, alongside data analysis using JMP.
Nice to have
- Experience in system design and/or system architecture. - Experience in system validation of high speed IO. - Software scripting skills using Python.

How we counted: 38 open Product Engineering (Silicon Validation) roles from 17 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 19 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Silicon Validation & Test family row.
