About the role
This role involves the design, definition, and production support of Power Management ICs and MCMs, with a focus on low-power/high-performance analog circuits and power management modules using CMOS/BCD technology.
What you'll do
- Lead design efforts for Power Management ICs and MCMs.
- Collaborate with Concept Engineering, Applications, Marketing, and Project Managers to define feature set, chip architecture, resourcing, schedule, and cost.
- Mentor less experienced designers in mixed-signal design best practices.
- Support and plan DFT strategy and DFT design implementation.
- Develop specifications and perform transistor-level design of analog circuits and power management modules in CMOS/BCD technology.
- Perform all aspects of IC analog/mixed signal design from definition to production, including precision, low-power analog & I/O blocks, A/D & D/A converters, PLLs, higher voltage integrated drivers, switching FETs, and sense and protection circuitry.
What you'll need
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years of IC design experience.
- Strong foundation in analog and mixed signal design.
- Experience as a design team lead and manager.
- Design experience with Power Management ICs and LDMOS/BCD process technologies and PDKs.
- Proficiency with the complete suite of Cadence tools for mixed signal design.
- Solid knowledge of EDA design tools and Cadence design environment, with hands-on experience with Virtuoso Custom IC Environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in lab for silicon evaluation and validation.
