Extropic is seeking a Principal Analog/Mixed Signal Engineer with experience in CMOS technology.
About the role
This role involves the design of analog and mixed-signal circuits and supporting hardware development.
What you'll do
- Design analog blocks including comparators, op-amps, reference/bias generation, LDO regulators, filters, switch-cap, and data converters.
- Design and layout high-speed analog circuits such as frequency dividers, oscillators, and PLLs.
- Conduct comprehensive simulations using Cadence for PEX, Monte-Carlo, and Corner analysis.
- Support project tape-out verification, including DRC, ERC, and LVS.
- Perform pre-silicon validation and top-level mixed-signal design simulations.
- Conduct lab-testing of mixed-signal circuits using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
What you'll need
- 5+ years relevant experience in Analog/Mixed Signal Engineering.
- Solid understanding of CMOS device characteristics, noise, mismatch, and linearity.
- In-depth knowledge of analog mixed-signal concepts including noise, linearity, stability, low-power, and low-noise techniques.
- Deep understanding of reliability issues and layout effects such as electro-migration (EM), and strategies to mitigate them.
- Experience designing with modern CMOS technology.
Nice to have
- Strong programming skills in Python and C.
- Experience with I/O design, including ESD and latch-up.
