About the role
Tenstorrent is seeking Physical Design Engineers to implement high-performance partitions for an AI SoC. You will own the implementation flow from synthesis to tapeout.
What you'll do
- Execute synthesis, PNR, and STA for assigned partitions of a complex AI SoC. - Help close EM/IR, ensure UPF power intent is consistent with implementation, and drive LEC and physical verification signoff for partitions in coordination with methodology owners. - Work closely with architects, RTL designers, and DFT engineers to resolve implementation and signoff issues across assigned blocks. - Partner on tapeout milestones with ownership across blocks or subsystems.
What you'll need
- Experience with synthesis and place-and-route flows, especially using Synopsys Design Compiler, Fusion Compiler, and IC Compiler II. - Experience with STA and executing timing closure. - Experience driving LEC/Formality and physical verification signoff (DRC/LVS). - Knowledge of UPF and multi-voltage power domain implementation. - Experience coordinating across engineering disciplines to address EM/IR and implementation issues.
