Launch RF and microwave signal-source instruments through automated test software and component-level hardware debug.
About the role
As an NPI Engineer at Keysight Technologies, you will work closely with R&D and production to develop production test software, automated measurement and calibration methods, and test fixtures for RF and microwave signal-source instruments. You will troubleshoot hardware down to the component level and use your findings to improve product performance and manufacturing readiness.
What you'll do
- Develop, debug, and maintain object-oriented production test software and automated measurement routines for RF and microwave hardware. - Design, implement, and debug calibration algorithms and measurement procedures. - Design, develop, debug, and bring up test boards and test fixtures to support Design for Manufacturing (DFM). - Perform hands-on troubleshooting of RF, microwave, analog, and digital hardware down to the component level, identifying root causes alongside R&D and Production. - Design and modify test stations, analyze test data, and review production test results to establish production line specifications using statistical data analysis. - Guide the transition of products and manufacturing processes into production and maintain engineering ownership on the production line post-release.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. - 4-5 years of relevant professional experience. - Solid understanding of RF and microwave hardware, theory, and applications, with hands-on test and measurement experience. - Experience developing and debugging object-oriented software for hardware testing, measurement, or calibration. - Experience developing RF and microwave circuits or products, including measurement algorithms and validation tests. - Proficiency in hands-on testing and troubleshooting of RF, analog, and digital circuits down to the component level.
Nice to have
