About the role
Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, is hiring an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor device manufacturing. The role oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
What you'll do
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, including defining module interfaces and formats.
- Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate process flows from high-level designs through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use.
- Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation across the full ASIC development lifecycle.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve complex ASIC and layout design issues.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
- 2 years of experience in hardware verification, logic and circuit design, and CAD tools.
- 2 years of experience in RTL design or coding using Verilog or VHDL.
- 2 years of experience with ASIC design, front-end EDA tools, and design flows and methodologies used for chip verification.
- 2 years of experience creating C models for design, as well as scripting in C++, TCL, Perl, Python, and Shell in Unix or Linux environments.
- 2 years of experience with test bench and test environment creation using SystemVerilog and UVM methodology, along with object-oriented design.
