About the role

This role involves developing and validating memories for Arm CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs across advanced process technology nodes. You will work on transistor-level full-custom design and optimization for performance, power, and area down to 3nm and beyond.

What you'll do

- Execute transistor-level full-custom design and collaborate with the physical design team for layout realization. - Develop new features and optimize Arm memories to meet performance, power, and area targets in advanced process technologies (3nm and beyond). - Contribute across the memory development flow, including design specification, circuit design, design margining, physical verification, memory characterization, FE verification, release procedures, and QA flow. - Use AI tools to build scripts aimed at improving execution efficiency and quality. - Deliver high-performance, low-power memory designs for integration into CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs.

What you'll need

- Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field with an emphasis in VLSI design, or a Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience. - 2–5 years of circuit design experience, with SRAM preferred. - Project experience in physical IP design covering memories, standard cells, IOs, or PHYs. - Working knowledge of basic memory principles, particularly for SRAM, and technology trade-offs in deep sub-micron processes. - Experience with Cadence Virtuoso or equivalent schematic and layout editing tools, as well as SPICE and FastSPICE simulators.

Nice to have

- Experience designing on silicon technologies at or below 28nm. - Exposure to CMOS layout. - Experience running statistical simulations, including Monte-Carlo analysis. - Basic scripting knowledge in Perl, Tcl, Java, or UNIX environments. - Familiarity with AI tools.
