About the role
As a Mechanical Test Fixture Engineer at MACOM, you will partner with New Product Development teams to develop and support test solutions for high-performance RF, microwave, millimeter wave, photonics, and high-speed analog products.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with Test Engineering and Design Engineering to specify test fixture needs.
- Design and document test circuit boards and complete test fixtures that comply with specified requirements, showcase DUT performance, and demonstrate production worthiness.
- Design and build SolidWorks and AutoCAD models for fixture design.
- Conduct fixture design reviews to ensure quality procedures and establish fixture standards for materials, layouts, components, methods, and procedures.
- Train personnel on methods and procedures for building, repairing, and maintaining fixtures.
- Support the transfer of test solutions to domestic and overseas contract manufacturing partners.
What you'll need
- BS in ME with a minor or background in EE.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience (or equivalent industry experience) in RF/DC and mixed signal test solution development.
- Understanding of thermal, mechanical, and RF/DC/mixed signal measurement trade-offs.
- Proficiency in 3D mechanical software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for test fixture hardware.
- Familiarity with Gauge R&R or ANOVA analysis.
- U.S. Person status due to ITAR regulations.

- Six Sigma knowledge.
