About the role
The Manufacturing Technician 2 performs skilled production tasks in a clean-room manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, monitoring and optimizing processes, and supporting engineering teams with experiments and data collection.
What you'll do
- Perform production activities within a clean-room environment following established procedures, safety protocols, and specialized tracking software. - Set up, calibrate, and perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to maintain uptime and repeatability. - Identify equipment irregularities, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues to engineering or maintenance teams. - Collect, review, and evaluate equipment and process data to execute on-line adjustments supporting process stability. - Partner with engineers on tests, trials, and experiments to improve yields and support root-cause analysis. - Provide task-level training and informal coaching to lower-level technicians while maintaining logs, charts, and documentation.
What you'll need
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience in operative or technician roles operating complex machinery or processes. - Experience with cleanroom operations, gowning, and contamination-control procedures. - Experience operating, setting up, calibrating, and performing preventative maintenance on production equipment. - Hands-on skills in troubleshooting, microscope inspection, assembly manufacturing, and precision measurement equipment. - Experience using specialized software systems such as PROMIS and Microsoft Office for tracking and documenting components.
