About the role
SkyWater is hiring a Senior Staff Production Planner for the Austin, Texas site to manage wafer production schedules and supply-demand interfaces.
What you'll do
- Set production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources, and volume required to meet demand. - Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the right wafers with the right quantity are started and delivered to the right destination. - Act as the main interface to customers for supply and demand. - Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions, including tracking and forecasting. - Review production performance and logistics periodically to generate ideas that make collaboration more efficient and robust. - Lead and drive continuous improvement on delivery commitment for urgent parts.
What you'll need
- At least 10 years of experience in semiconductor production logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing. - In-depth knowledge of production planning disciplines and experience using best practices to improve processes. - Demonstrated analytical skills to perform deviation management. - Experience serving as a resource for colleagues with less experience or formally training junior staff.
