About the role
The Machine Operator sets up, operates, monitors, and maintains production equipment to support manufacturing operations in Fremont, CA.
What you'll do
- Set up and operate assigned machinery and production equipment according to established procedures and work instructions. - Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency. - Load raw materials and unload finished products from equipment. - Perform routine inspections and quality checks using gauges, calipers, measuring devices, and visual inspection techniques. - Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and escalate issues when necessary. - Complete production records, quality documentation, and required paperwork while supporting preventive maintenance activities and equipment changeovers.
What you'll need
- High school diploma or GED. - 6+ years of experience operating, setting up, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment in a production environment. - Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and production schedules. - Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. - Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting. - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods during the shift.
Nice to have
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified. - Experience operating CNC equipment, automated machinery, or production equipment. - Experience in lean manufacturing environments. - Experience with ERP or manufacturing software systems. - Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection processes.
