About the role
This role involves loading wafers into production equipment, verifying product specifications, monitoring equipment operation, and ensuring process pace and productivity in a manufacturing environment. The specialist will make minor process corrections and identify when technical or engineering support is needed.
What you'll do
- Set up and operate tools to process wafers through the manufacturing process.
- Determine strategies for processing wafers, including when to perform tool changeovers.
- Make minor corrections to the process and equipment.
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodology for process diagnosis and interpretation.
- Perform production processes in accordance with documented specifications and schedules.
- Prioritize daily tasks that impact team goals in collaboration with teammates and other departments.
What you'll need
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work a 12-hour compressed shift in a clean room environment.
- Ability to multitask and manage a large volume of activity and demands.
- Ability to carry a pod of wafers that weighs 15 pounds throughout the full shift.
- Ability to frequently climb 4-5 stair steps while carrying a wafer pod throughout the full work shift.
Nice to have
- Prior semiconductor experience.
- Stable work history.
