About the role
This role involves developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, assembly methods, alignment procedures, and test methodologies for high-precision electron optics systems.
What you'll do
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, assembly methods, alignment procedures, and test methodologies for high-precision electron optics systems.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for yield, reliability, performance, and manufacturability issues.
- Identify manufacturing risks early in the product development cycle and drive mitigation plans through design reviews, process validation, and production readiness activities.
- Analyze data and/or utilize modeling to drive process, specifications, and design improvements.
- Setup complex project plans across multiple resource disciplines and drive to completion.
- Partner with suppliers and external manufacturing partners to develop and qualify critical components, processes, and technologies.
What you'll need
- Master's or Doctorate in Physics, Electron optics, or related fields.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to support technical issues, set-up experiments, modeling, and data analysis.
- Ability to champion technical solutions to manufacturability issues found with the design.
- Ability to create effective technical presentations up to the divisional level.
Nice to have
- Experience with electron optics and high voltage for scanning electron microscopes or equivalent.
