About the role
This Intern role involves supporting R&D activities within the timing business of the MSS division, focusing on system design and validation. You will contribute to projects spanning new product definition, chip bring-up, and the creation of FPGA IPs for product reference designs.
What you'll do
- Work on development flows using EMX, HFSS, Vivado, Virtuoso, OrCAD, PADS, or Hyperlynx.
- Utilize Python, Matlab, Visual Basic, or C# for system design and validation lab work.
- Execute the assigned intern project and collaborate with team members.
- Solve mixed-signal problems through hand analysis, simulation, and/or lab debugging.
- Set up and conduct periodic project reviews for leadership feedback.
What you'll need
- Graduate or undergraduate student focusing on an EE major.
- Strong fundamentals in linear time-invariant systems, Laplace and Fourier Transforms.
- Solid understanding of feedback control theory, circuit, network analysis, and synthesis.
- Fundamentals in digital and analog circuit design.
Nice to have
- Exposure to SPICE, Verilog/VHDL, verification, and simulation tools.
- Exposure to PCB design tools, such as OrCAD.
- Working knowledge of programming languages (C/C++, VB, or Python).
- Understanding of circuit systems like RF front-end systems, PLLs, ADCs, and/or DACs.
