About the role

KLA Corporation is seeking master's or Ph.D. students for an Image Processing Intern position to support process control and yield management solutions. The role focuses on evaluating image analysis and machine learning methods on optical and scanning electron microscope image datasets.

What you'll do

• Investigate image processing, computer vision, and machine learning methods relevant to semiconductor inspection.
• Implement, adapt, and evaluate selected methods on optical and/or scanning electron microscope image datasets.
• Develop reproducible analyses and benchmarks to compare methods and evaluate their strengths, limitations, and suitability for the data.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to interpret results and inform future research and development.
• Document methods and findings, and present results and recommendations to the team.

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science, materials science, biology, geography, or a related field.
• Less than 1 year of related experience.
• Relevant coursework, research, or independent project experience in image processing, image analysis, computer vision, computational imaging, machine learning, or deep learning.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Solid foundation in statistics.
