About the role
This IC Layout Co-op position involves understanding and laying out silicon Integrated Circuits.
What you'll do
- Work closely with IC design engineers to lay out and verify ICs for wireless consumer electronic products.
- Perform analog IC IP layout using Cadence Virtuoso.
- Learn common best practices and workflows.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in an IC layout program at a technical institution.
- Taking courses in layout techniques with the ability to place and route IC devices.
- Commitment to work onsite for a 6-month Co-op term (June/July - December 2027).
- Experience using a schematic/netlist-driven CAD layout process.
- Experience using Cadence Virtuoso and Calibre verification tools.
- Some experience with DRC/LVS checking.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor processes, resistors, capacitors, and FETs.
