About the role
This role provides HR operational and timely support for international assignees (Inpats) from Japan across U.S. locations. The specialist coordinates with internal departments, external vendors, professional service providers, and other stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS (personal data, job changes, promotions, terminations).
- Produce regular and ad hoc HR reports and dashboards (headcount, turnover, vacancy, new hires).
- Support HR system updates, data reconciliations, and testing during implementations.
- Administer performance review processes, including distributing forms, tracking completion, and compiling results.
- Maintain compliance documentation and assist with audits, mandatory notices, and policy distribution.
- Manage day-to-day HR administrative tasks such as employment verifications, letters, and filing.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of experience in employee support, HR operations, general administration, executive support, customer service, or a comparable coordination role.
- Advanced verbal and written proficiency in Japanese for daily business communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records, track multiple cases, and handle confidential information.
- Strong task-management skills and ability to prioritize recurring work and urgent requests.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting expatriates or international assignees, global mobility, immigration visas and taxes, benefits, travel, or employee relocation.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors or professional service providers.
- Familiarity with AGAVE, Cigna, HR systems, expense systems, or Excel-based tracking tools.
