About the role
AMD's server software and solutions engineering team is seeking a senior engineer to lead the enablement and optimization of HPC and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions on AMD EPYC processors. This role focuses on x86 architecture, HPC applications, AI frameworks, and production-level cluster deployments.
What you'll do
- Lead the enablement and optimization of HPC and AI solutions on AMD EPYC processors.
- Deploy and optimize HPC applications, AI frameworks, and models across production-level clusters.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and silicon development teams on performance optimization and competitive analysis strategies.
- Execute end-customer application optimization on AMD server platforms.
What you'll need
- Deep expertise in x86 computing architecture.
- Hands-on experience with HPC applications, AI frameworks, and models, including deployment on production-level clusters.
- Proven expertise in software-level code optimization and tuning.
- Strong familiarity with system-level profiling tools such as uProf or VTune and interpretation of performance metrics.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related equivalent field.
Nice to have
- Contribution to large HPC code bases in CPU/GPU environments.
- Experience with AI tools such as Claude and Cursor.
