About the role
Broadcom's Central Engineering Design Correlation team is seeking an engineer to evaluate silicon technology in advanced process nodes for IP and product designs. The role focuses on foundry technology assessment, test structure design, silicon characterization, and model-to-silicon correlation in FinFET and GAA nodes.
What you'll do
- Support IP and chip teams with technology evaluation, reliability, and design enablement across foundry offerings. - Perform test structure layout, physical verification, extraction, SPICE simulation, and silicon evaluation. - Conduct cross-functional quality assurance of designs, tape-outs, and custom device infrastructure readiness. - Evaluate EDA and RCX tool quality and predictability to ensure technology platform robustness. - Collaborate with internal design, platform technology, and operations teams alongside external foundry partners.
What you'll need
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field with 8+ years of experience (BS), 6+ years (MS), or 3+ years (PhD), including recent work in advanced FinFET or GAA nodes. - Strong background in CMOS process technology across FEOL, MEOL, and BEOL, including design-technology interactions. - Hands-on experience with device/circuit level test structure design, physical verification (DRC, LVS), extraction, SPICE simulation, silicon characterization (DC/AC/RF), and data analysis. - Familiarity with analog and digital design flows and CAD tools. - Experience interfacing with both internal design teams and external foundry partners.
