About the role
This role involves providing customer-focused expertise on equipment, delivering process support, evaluation, and documentation for hardware modifications and upgrades. You will support customers with installations, training, and identifying design improvements with product groups.
What you'll do
- Provide process support, installation, and improve processes/systems/productivity for Lam equipment at customer sites.
- Serve as key field support for Beta sites, evaluations, or first-in-fab installations.
- Design and conduct experiments, collect data, analyze results, and generate reports to optimize device architecture and process modules.
- Partner with customers to meet new technology process requirements, support existing processes, and address process deviations through root cause analysis.
- Develop new or modified processes, define best known method process recipes, and characterize hardware designs to meet customer performance requirements.
- Coordinate statistical analysis of failure rates and develop continuous improvement plan (CIP).
What you'll need
- PhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or related field; or Masters of Science with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or Bachelors of Science with 6+ years of work experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment, or cleanroom suit.
Nice to have
- In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, reacting to shifting priorities, and meeting business needs and deadlines.
