Field Application Engineer (FAE) Milpitas
$140,000 - $180,000 USD yearly
About the role
This position is responsible for supporting Solid State Drive, eMMC, and UFS products for specific customers. The role works closely with customers and collaborates with the core engineering team.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customers, managing project timelines from kick-off through production with the sales team.
- Handle first-level technical support, covering product discussions, issue clarification, duplication, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
- Work independently across functional departments to resolve customer issues and support technical evaluations.
What you'll need
- Minimum 3+ years of field support experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Familiarity with system hardware design, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Experience with hardware debugging using an oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and protocol analyzer.
- Working knowledge of PC system architecture and Windows/Linux OS environments.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills for customer relationship management.
Nice to have
- Experience in NAND storage system debugging.
- Knowledge of NAND flash, eMMC, UFS, SATA, PCIe, and NVMe standards.
- Knowledge of Python, Bash, and C++.
