About the role
As a Staff Applications Engineer on the automotive radio applications team, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to define, develop, and support the software and hardware necessary for customers integrating Skyworks' automotive radio solutions.
What you'll do
- Execute evaluation board and radio hardware design.
- Perform verification and evaluation of hardware and software products in development for compliance to device and system-level requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve embedded firmware issues.
- Work with customers and internal teams to define device-level requirements and perform system tradeoff analyses.
- Collaborate with the quality team to support failure analysis.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 10 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of experience.
- Experience working with schematic and layout tools.
- Hands-on ability to troubleshoot and debug hardware (PCBs, laboratory test equipment) and software.
- Experience developing and debugging software projects, including developing software tests for firmware verification.
- Experience in object-oriented programming such as Python.
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies.
