About the role
This role involves monitoring and operating facilities equipment and central utility plant systems to support manufacturing operations.
What you'll do
- Monitor and operate Facilities Central Utility Plant (CUP) and support equipment, including Boilers, Chillers, Air Systems, Cooling Towers, DI Water System, IWW Industrial Wastewater treatment plant, Plant Vacuum Systems, Toxic Gas monitoring, closed loops water treatment, and Electrical Distribution.
- React to Facilities system alarms and take corrective actions to prevent impact to manufacturing operations.
- Collect and interpret data from Facilities equipment during shift walks to ensure proper operation and identify potential problems.
- Perform system repairs and maintenance and respond to trouble calls.
- Perform 6S of assigned areas.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma.
- Experience with operating utility plant equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
Nice to have
- Applicable trade AA.
- Previous utility plant operation experience.
- 4+ years of trade experience/licensing.
- Maintenance experience on boilers and chillers.
- Emergency Response Team; Data collection and Assessment experience.
