Execute CMP and wet process operations on AMAT, Ebara, TEL, and DNS equipment.
About the role
Process Technicians on D Shift serve as the primary authority for production stability, executing processes and maintaining the quality and yield of semiconductor manufacturing operations in Sherman, TX. The role oversees CMP recipes and wet etch cycles across automated platforms to prevent process deviations and support high-volume manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Manage and execute CMP recipes on AMAT and Ebara platforms to ensure planarization standards.
- Oversee Wet Process sequences using Celleste, TEL, and DNS equipment, maintaining chemical concentrations and etch rates.
- Monitor real-time process parameters, including slurry flow, endpoint detection, and rinse cycles, to prevent excursions.
- Utilize KLA and AMAT metrology tools to monitor surface topography, particle counts, and defect density, analyzing data to intercept yield loss.
- Resolve process abnormalities and system alarms using SOPs and decision trees, documenting all shift activity in MES.
- Partner with Process Engineers to execute experiments, resolve root causes of deviations, and reduce holds.
What you'll need
- High School diploma or GED, and at least 18 years of age.
- 2 years of semiconductor experience as a Technician, or 8 years of non-semiconductor/military Technician experience.
- Ability to work a 12-hour compressed work schedule.
- Flexibility to work day or night shift, including one weekend shift and holidays.
Nice to have
- 3-5 years of process engineering technician experience in a high-volume, automated 300 mm semiconductor fab, including lot hold disposition, process tuning, and SPC monitoring.
- Hands-on experience in process execution using AMAT, Ebara, TEL, DNS, or KLA systems.
- Experience writing metrology and defect inspection recipes on KLA and AMAT platforms for troubleshooting and new product inspection setup.
- Data compilation and visualization skills using Excel, Tibco Spotfire, Power BI, or equivalent tools.
