About the role
This role involves software design and development for the Qualcomm AI Stack within the Qualcomm AI Runtime (QAIRT) SDK, specifically Core software including Generative AI Inference Extensions (Genie). You will optimize runtime efficiency, latency, and power consumption for deep neural networks and large language models executing on Snapdragon platforms.
What you'll do
- Develop software for Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs, specifically QAIRT and Genie, to support generative AI models on Snapdragon platforms. - Design and implement core runtime framework components for inference on low-power, memory-constrained AI systems. - Validate, analyze, and optimize performance and accuracy through testing of machine learning use cases. - Debug complex issues, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure system reliability. - Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and cross-functional software delivery.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent advanced degree). - Project or internship experience (entry level) or 2+ years of general software development experience (senior level). - Proficiency in software development using C/C++. - Experience developing in a Linux environment. - Software development skills spanning data structures, algorithm design, software debugging, and testing.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. - 1+ years of experience building embedded software applications. - Familiarity with generative AI model architectures such as LLMs, and hardware acceleration at the connected edge. - Experience developing on platforms such as Android or Windows, including low-level operating system interactions with hardware. - Experience with CMake-based build environments and git-based SCM. - Experience using or integrating Qualcomm AI Stack products such as QNN or Genie.
