Support the electrical design, integration, qualification, and continuous improvement of process modules used in advanced semiconductor equipment.
About the role
This role supports the electrical design, integration, qualification, and continuous improvement of process modules used in advanced semiconductor equipment. You will develop electrical solutions for process-module subsystems, including power distribution, controls, sensors, interlocks, safety circuits, cable assemblies, and system-level interfaces.
What you'll do
- Own the electrical design of process-module subsystems, including schematics, cable drawings, wiring diagrams, interconnects, power distribution, sensors, heaters, actuators, safety circuits, and control interfaces.
- Translate requirements into electrical design solutions for reliable tool operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated process-module architectures.
- Select and qualify electrical components based on performance, safety, reliability, availability, environmental conditions, and lifecycle.
- Design and review safety-related electrical systems, including interlocks, emergency-off circuits, protective devices, grounding, bonding, and safety-rated components.
- Develop, review, and release engineering documentation, including schematics, cable assemblies, bills of materials, design specifications, test plans, and ECO packages.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting electrical systems for complex electromechanical equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuit design, power distribution, grounding, shielding, signal integrity, sensors, actuators, and safety circuits.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD tools for schematic capture and cable or harness design.
- Experience with component selection, design verification, prototype bring-up, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of electrical safety and machinery standards such as NEC, NFPA 79, UL 508A, FM 4910, ISO 13849, EN/IEC 60204-1, EN/IEC 60204-33, and relevant SEMI standards.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience in semiconductor, vacuum, automation, industrial, or capital-equipment environments.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools.
