About the role
This role involves leading and managing electrical and mechanical engineers for product development activities related to Power Box & control boxes for Lam's WETS products.
What you'll do
- Lead, develop, and manage a group of electrical and mechanical engineers, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Research, design, develop, modify, and evaluate power delivery and distribution systems.
- Facilitate design approaches and analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
- Interact with Mechanical & Electrical Engineering managers across different product groups.
- Set up equipment for experimentation/testing in a laboratory environment, ensuring safe practices and safety standards.
- Manage product life cycle and obsolescence activities.
What you'll need
- 12+ years of experience in capital equipment or a similar industry in power distribution / Power box sub-system design.
- 6-8 years of experience managing direct reports consisting of managers, electrical & mechanical engineers.
- Demonstrated experience on power boxes & control boxes in gathering requirements, designing, testing, and implementing to high volume manufacturing.
- Experience with electrical engineering CAD tools like E3 ZUKEN or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design & simulation.
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 79, UL 508A, IEC standards.
- Master’s in Electrical Engineering with 12-14 years of experience or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 14-16 years of experience.
